Hello there! I’m Lady Jay Harris, and I’ve been around the block a few times in the world of office management, accounting, and event planning for more than 25 years to be exact! Let me tell you, I know a thing or two about burnout. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Literally, because I also dabbled in the t-shirt business at one point!
Life tossed me a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, like being a single mom juggling two jobs not only to put food on the table but also to keep my son in private school. It wasn’t easy, and I definitely felt the pressure. But when the time came for my son to spread his wings after high school, I found myself in a job that just wasn’t cutting it. So, I took a leap of faith, collected some unemployment checks, and started investing in myself.
Let me tell you, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I tried my hand at various online gigs, but many of them promised big bucks and delivered zilch. Remote work wasn’t as popular back then, and the gurus in affiliate marketing wanted an arm and a leg just to teach you the basics.
But I didn’t give up. I hit the books, took some courses, and brushed up on my skills until I felt confident enough to start my own business. And you know what? It paid off.
In 2009, I remarried and started my first company, Harris Outsource Services, LLC, specializing with repairs in heating, air, plumbing and electrical plus handyman services and it did well for about three years. But I didn’t have anyone in the field I was in to help me get to the next level. So, I ventured into online businesses, making some money here and there, but again, it wasn’t consistent enough to pay my bills.
Now, here I am, the proud owner of HOS Marketing Consulting LLC. I’ve been through the trenches, and I know firsthand the struggles of trying to make ends meet while working multiple jobs. That’s why I’m here to help folks like you turn your business dreams into reality.
